LSE Director Dr. Inderjit Seehra being honored by KCGC Honorary Secretary RMS Chhina
World renowned management expert and Director Human Resources, London School of Economics (LSE) and Chair, European Union (Educational Research) Dr. Inderjit Seehra today visited Khalsa College Governing Council and Khalsa University. He shared information relating to the changing trends in the higher education around the world.
Dr. Seehra gave brief detail about the Summer Schools which are held every year at London School of Economics and how they prepare students for pursuing various Research programmes subsequently at this coveted institution. He was received by Dr. GS Walia, Vice-Chancellor, Khalsa University on his visit to the University.
Later, he held discussions with S.Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, Pro-Chancellor, Khalsa University and Honorary Secretary, Khalsa College Governing Council on various possibilities of academic tie-up between the Educational Institutions of higher education including KU and other institutions under Khalsa College Charitable Society.
The academic collaboration in the field of student, faculty exchange programmes; short term refresher programmes for teachers; sending students for Masters, Research degree programmes; Summer School programmes at London School of Economics and other educational avenues for University students was also the focus.
Following the talks it was agreed to carry forward the discussions for an academic tie-up in the near future which will be greatly beneficial for the students of Northern India. Dr. Seehra also took tour of the campus and various institutions run by the Society. Dr. Kanwaljeet Singh, Director Sports, D S Rataul, Deputy Director, PR and Kaveri Singh, Project Manager were also present at the meeting.
