Dr. Jaswinder Singh Dhillon, Registrar, Khalsa University, Amritsar & Principal, Khalsa College of Education, Amritsar is a noted academician, who with his amiable personality, impeccable administrative skills and visionary ideas has played an instrumental role in the formulation and implementation of policies and programmes of Teacher Education at the State and National Level.
Dr. J.S. Dhillon has a brilliant academic record of bagging four time gold medals by standing 1st in Punjab in Language Teacher’s Training Programme (O.T.), 1st in GNDU in B.Ed., 1st in M.A. & M.Phil.

Under his able guidance, the historical Khalsa College of Education (previously known as Patiala House, gifted by His Highness The Maharaja Rajinder Singh Mahindar Bahadur; Ruler of Patiala) has witnessed innovative pinnacle of success by designing and developing various Teacher Education Programmes.

Dr. Dhillon has 36 years of teaching experience at graduate, post graduate & M.Phil./ Ph.D. level. As a passionate researcher, he has generously contributed to research by guiding 20 Ph.D. thesis in Education and 74 M.Ed. level dissertations. Dr. Dhillon as a prolific writer has to his credit 40-research papers, which have been published in National and International journals and 11 books on various aspects of Teacher Education. He is also on the editorial board of a number of journals of National repute.

Dr.Dhillon has coordinated 27 General Orientation Courses (GOC’s) and Refresher Courses (RC’s) for the universities & College Teachers at Academic Staff College, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and has successfully organised 43 National/ International seminars, Conferences & Workshops.
Dr.Dhillon has delivered keynote addresses, Inaugural & Valedictory addresses in more than 16 conferences, seminars & convocations at Regional & National level. He also acted as a resource person in a number of International Conferences, Workshops and Seminars.

A widely travelled person, Dr. Dhillon has visited a number of Universities in Canada, United Kingdom, Malaysia, Singapore, Sweden, Norway, Turkey, Netherland, Denmark, Finland, Russia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, Pakistan and Bhutan.
A stalwart in the field of Education, Dr. Dhillon is member of more than two dozen prestigious educational bodies at national & international level. To name a few, viz. NCTE, NAAC, IATE, GERA, IFORE, AIAER & various Universities of the country.
Dr. Dhillon is a true custodian of Indian Art and Culture. As Co-ordinator of SPICMACY and PCPC (Regd.), he has worked relentlessly for the preservation and promotion of Indian Art and Culture & organised six International folk ensembles & numerous festivals at national level in collaboration with North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC). South Zone Cultural Centre (SZCC) & East Zone Cultural Centre (EZCC).
